LET THE SPIDERS IN

OUT ON THE 10TH OF APRIL 2026

We’re MASHEENA, a hard rock band from the west coast of Norway!

Our second album, Let The Spiders In, dropped on the 10th of April 2026. Here are some quotes:

Let The Spiders In is described as a "psychedelic rock n’ roll odyssey" that seamlessly blends genres. Accidental Music Reviewer notes that the album’s sound is a "kaleidoscopic melange of stoner, classic, blues and progressive rock" that "will broaden your musical horizons".

Musika highlights that "lovers of everything from Led Zeppelin and Thin Lizzy to Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, and even Aerosmith can enjoy this".

Maximum Volume Music observes that the track «Life Is But A Sin» has "more than a touch of Soundgarden about it, and certainly something of Chris Cornell in the vocal phrasing".

The collaboration with producer Machine has injected a "super-sized stadium rock energy" into the recordings. Outlaws Of The Sun describes the record as "a powder keg of classic Stoner Rock anthems" and "all killer and no filler," citing influences ranging from Clutch and Kyuss to Foo Fighters and Velvet Revolver.

The album’s addictive nature is summarized by ROCK'N FORCE, which calls the release "powerful, creative and totally addictive". For those looking for pure energy, Veil of Sound notes that on the closer «You Owe Me», it is "impossible not to wriggle a finger or tap your feet".

As Outlaws Of The Sun simply puts it: "Outstanding. End Of."

Our debut album dropped on the 25th of August 2023, and debuted at 6th place in The Doom Charts! Praise for the album include:

West Coast Hard Rock will push all the right buttons for so many folk – Clutch, Foo Fighters, QOTSA, Monster Magnet, and many, many more.

Velvet Thunder review

There is an element of Randy California's Spirit about opening track "1979", not so much in its riffs, which are harder and crunchier than anything Spirit committed to tape, but in its vocals which are a mix of clean lead and melodic backing harmonies, the resulting combination, blended with an unmistakable 70's classic/hard rock groove, giving the song a level of rock'n'roll catchiness rare in these days of growlers and screamers.

Desert Psyclist review

Above all, MASHEENA manages to write real hits that should not leave anyone cold. What fascinates me about MASHEENA is that they do not use melodies that have been chewed over a thousand times. After the first listen, you find yourself humming the two songs "1979" and "Brings Me Down" over and over again.

Metal Division Magazine Review(german)

With a wink and a hearty dose of West Coast groove, Masheena rocks its way into the hearts of listeners.

Trivselrock.
